Five types of audit,
one auditor team.
- 01
Certification audits
Multicert delivers the full certification audit process for ISO management systems and CE/UKCA products. We partner with international accredited certification bodies that issue the certificate. The client has a single partner running the project — from first contact through annual surveillance.

Supplier (second-party) audits
Independent supplier assessment commissioned by the buying company. We verify conformity with a standard (e.g. ISO 9001) or with the client’s technical specification. The report contains concrete findings, risks and recommendations — ready to use in a procurement decision.

FPC audits
Factory Production Control inspections for construction products under CPR. Full PCA AC 210 accreditation scope — Multicert is a product certification body under ISO/IEC 17065.

Process and product inspections
Independent verification of quality and conformity at the point of production or delivery. Pre-shipment inspections, batch control, conformity verification with project documentation — for construction, industry and trade.

Frequently asked questions about audits.
How long does a certification audit take?
The audit itself typically takes 1–3 audit days (depending on headcount, locations and scope). The report is produced within 1–2 weeks of completing the audit. The full process from inquiry to certificate normally takes 6–8 weeks.
Can the audit be carried out remotely?
Yes — remote and hybrid audits are available. Stage 1 (document review) is most often delivered remotely. Stage 2 (on-site audit) is usually performed on-site, but for selected scopes a remote format is possible. The decision is made jointly with the client during planning.
Who issues the certificate?
In Multicert’s own accreditation area (construction products, AC 210) the certificate is issued by Multicert. For ISO management systems and CE/UKCA products the certificate is issued by the international accredited certification body we partner with. Multicert runs the whole process — from first contact to surveillance.
How much does the audit cost?
The price depends on headcount, number of locations, industry and audit scope. We prepare a free, concrete quote within 2 hours during business hours. The full cost is known before the contract is signed — no hidden items.
What happens if the auditor identifies nonconformities?
The audit report contains a list of major and minor nonconformities. The client has a defined period (typically 60–90 days) to take corrective action and submit evidence. After successful verification of the corrections we issue the certificate. Nonconformities are a normal part of the process — the audit aims to help the organisation improve, not to find reasons to refuse certification.
